Hi!
I generated a Word document which contained the scenario steps for a use case, including two alternate scenarios. Subsequently, I revised the primary flow, and the steps were renumbered. However, when I regenerated the document, the link text for the alternate flows was incorrect (the links were correct).
I.e., the alternate flow originally rejoined @ Step 5. The link in the document says “Rejoin at Step 5.” When I removed some steps, the alternate now rejoins at Step 3, and the link takes me back to Step 3, but the text still says “Rejoin at Step 5.” I don’t seem to see anywhere (in Word) which allows me to update the link text, and, so far as I can see, I should not have to do this. The bookmark should properly represent the actual step, not just the location in the document.
Is this an issue with eaDocX?
Thanks!
Tom
All of that test gets deleted and re-generated each time you re-generate the document.
Are you 100% sure that the change is in EA? There is all kinds of strange caching in EA, and eaDocX can only use what EA presents at the API.
Sounds like your analysis is correct. I deleted the entire section from eaDocX and readded it, and the result was the same.
I guess that leads me to the question of whether you have any idea where EA stores the text for hyperlink steps. I will try poking around in the database, but a clue (or pointer) would be useful.
Thanks!
Tom
