Hi,
let’s assume I have a description of a class. This description might be filled or not. Further let’s assume I have added a Sub-paragraph title. if the description of the classes is filled, my document contains an accordantly number Sub-paragraph .
Example:
1.1.1 <
I’m a description
So, everything is fine.
Now let’s assume the description of a class is empty. So far I have understood, I configure a default value, like “n/a” as an option (eaDocX Settings).
The result is:
1.1.1. <
n/a
(Or something similar)
But, what I would like to have is, that if for example in such a case the description is empty, no Sub-paragraph is printed, but if a description is available I would like to have the paragraph.
Simply removing the Sub-paragraph title does not solve my problem, because then the output never contains the paragraph.
I’m looking for something like:
if something is filled then
print paragraph and the related content
else
print nothing
Perhaps this functionalitiy is still available, but i didn’t find it?
thank you!
Regards,
Stefan
Hi Stefan
Have you tried the Compact document feature? It sounds like what you are asking for.
Select Tools | Options | General then check the Compact document box and headings for any empty fields will not be printed.
Regards
That’s it!
Thank you!
