One of my colleagues is experiencing issues with the incorrect display of GUI elements in the EADocX plugin – see the attached screenshot for reference. The problem occurs regardless of whether the generation is done on our own projects or using the EA example models.

My colleague is using the same version of Enterprise Architect as the rest of the team (17.1.1712). We have tested EADocX versions 1.5.0.8 and 1.5.0.9. Reinstalling the plugin, restarting the computer, and running EA as administrator did not make any difference.

I’m also attaching two error messages that appeared initially after installing EADocX and prevented report generation. However, after several attempts to generate the document, the issue disappeared. This might be related to the main problem.

Additionally, I’m attaching two more screenshots related to this issue.

This usually happens when eaDocX – or any of the eaTeamWorks products – are run on a display which has a resolution gre4ater than 96 DPI. This is usually because it it running on a hi-res laptop, like a Surface Pro, or any other with a 4k screen.
If you either use the machine with a lower resolution, or use it on a separate, normal resultion screen, then it will be OK.
(This is well documented in other forum posts)
Please submit the other issue in a separate post – it is not related to this GUI issue.

Thank you for your response. Indeed, the screen scaling was set to 125%, and that turned out to be the source of the issue.

I have resolved the issue with eaDocX being unable to create bmp image by entering %APPDATA% -> eaDocX and creating an empty “Images” directory. Worked in my case.

    My installation includes:
    – Windows 11 Pro
    – Enterprise Architect 17.1.1716
    – eaTeamWorks 2.1.3.0
    – Screen resolution 5120×2160 (150% scalling)
