WHen closing the Word tab EA closes as a whole

When I close Word, where my newly generated document is located in, EA closes too. If I only close the tab of EADocx it doesn’t close EA. As if Word was kinda the main programm.

Quite right. We don’t know why this happens. We used to have some code which tried to remove the ‘close’ button from Word, but that stopped working with newer versions of Word. We can’t win…
If you just close the EA tab, then eaDocX gets told, and can close Word down nicely.
