eaDocX Excel slow to run on shared EA project

Running an Excel export from EA using eaXL tends to be slow on a shared EA repository. I ran tests on a shared MySQL DB accessed via ODBC.
eaDocX Excel module is sometimes stuck in the Progressing message (nothing happens in Excel). Running the same tests on a local EAP runs fine.

I don’t know whether they are similar issues with the Word module.

Is it something that has been seen before?
