We are currently trying to generate Confluence pages using EADOCX, by generating the Word Doc then importing it into Confluence.
This is working well with the exception of the diagrams which has a couple of problems.
P.S. We are aware of the EA connector for Confluence, but it doesn’t have the required flexibility that EADOCX provides.
Have you tried generating the document as HTML? This creates a single HTML file, some images, and a CSS.
I will have a look at the diagram issue.
“Save As “HTML” isn’t available for me, so I assume we only have the Professional Edition.
It’s only money.
So is there a way to get EADOCX to store the image as bitmap rather than a vector graphic in a Word doc?
Will there be in the future?
EA does allow for both a ‘metafile’ and ‘bitmap’ format (see EA Help– the PutDiagramImageOnClipboard method) but the reason we only use the ‘metafile’ option is that it appears much clearer when pasted into a Word document.
If the ‘bitmap’ option is needed, then we will give you yet another setting to make eaDocX use the ‘bitmap’ setting instead.
Before I do that, I will send you an example document where the diagrams are exported in both styles, so you can check they meet your requirements.
Could you resend the Bitmap and material samples as the two supplied documents appear to be identical.
Thanks.
