eaTeamWorks 2.0
eaTeamWorks V2 is our first release to make use of AI, in the new feature we’re calling aiExpert.
And it adds some new function to EA which has been annoying us for years – a proper Gantt chart for project management
aiExpert Highlights
Now you can take some of your modeling and get some feedback on it from an AI. And these AIs have really ALL the books on ALL the modeling languages, so they can provide some surprising feedback. Remember, this is not the same right/wrong feedback you will get from a normal Model Expert Reference Model. This is the kind of thing you might get from showing your model to your local expert: some of it will be great, some of it might be things you’ve already thought about. And some of it, just occasionally, will be wrong. So that’s why we show you the feedback – in a really friendly way – and leave you to decide what to do about it.
We have tried it out using ChatGPT v5, and, if there is demand, will also implement interfaces to other LLMs, such as Google’s Gemini, but ChatGPT seems like the market leader at the moment.
We also tried it out using various kinds of model:
- Conceptual/Logical data models
- BPMN Process models
- Archimate models, especially ‘purple layer’ (Motivation)
You can store your AI ‘Model Queries’ in your own repository, and then customize those queries to deliver the results you need, and let all your team use the same queries to test their part of the model. So there is no limit to what kinds of model you can check, or to the customizations you can do. We provide some built-in Model Queries to get you started, but then the sky is the limit.
Portfolio Manager ‘Project Builder’
EA has had a ‘Gantt view’ for a long time. But we can’t use for project management, because of one huge gap – we can’t associate one task with another. And that is the most important piece of knowledge which the Gantt chart needs to show.
So with the ‘Project Builder‘ function in Portfolio Manager, now you can do some fairly complex project management right inside EA.
You can have parent/child tasks, link tasks together, and importantly, link those tasks quickly a easily to anything else in EA.
And all delivered in a whole new dedicated Gantt chart.
