    I’m using EA 9.0.907 and downloaded/installed EAdocs 3.2.4.1.

OS: Windows 7 Enterprise, Office 2010.

When I start EA and create a test project with some models I don’t see any option or menu to access the EAdocs functionality. E.g. under Add Ins there is no EAdocs entry listed.

Don’t see an error message anywhere.

    Was the installation successful?
    Do these product versions interoperate?
How can I check if the combined installation functions correctly?
    Any other suggestion?

They certainly SHOULD work – that’s the same config I have on my machine!
If the installation has worked, then you should see a new option on the EA ‘Add-ins’ menu for eaDocX: if not, the install didn’t work.
If you can see this option, choose ‘Add-ins’ (‘Extensions’ for later EA versions) then eaDocX | Help | Check Installation.
This will run some simple checks to make sure eaDocX can talk to (1) EA and (2) Word.
If that fails, please let me know, and we’ll investigate further.
Problems like this are usually because of some security restrictions on how Word can be used, and are difficult for us to detect as we’re installing eaDocX.

I do not see an EAdocs options in the Add-ins menu, but the EAdocs folder with content is present. Seems an issue at installation time.

What user rights are required for installation? (Power User, Admin?)

How can I force EA to still use ths EAdocs folder?

    Admin rights are needed

    Will check and report back.

    (do not have admin rights)

Went back to my own PC (with admin rights) rather than the company laptop (with power user rights).

Re-install as admin seems to install the add-in all right.

But on this PC I had installed the add-in earlier, and the license key has expired in the meantime.
Can the add-in be enabled for a couple of weeks, in order to evaluate it?

Please email support@eadocx.com, and we’ll send you back a licence extension, no problem.
