Just in case it would work, and based on feedback from Sparx users, can you try to build eaDocX 3.9 with .NET 4?
Perhaps it could work without altering the code and that would make this version EA14+ compatible. Thanks

Guillaume FinanceParticipantI’m ok to keep a .NET 2 built version if there’s a way to get it to work. I noticed on a Windows 10 PC that the error comes up when using EA14 or greater (it works ok with EA13.5)
I’m trying to figure out a workaround..
Guillaume FinanceParticipantThanks for the link Jackie.
I can see that the site is being revamped with a very nice and professional layout.Guillaume
Guillaume FinanceParticipantHi Mike,
To my knowledge this is a Sparx EA issue identified since version 14 as I experienced it with the built-in CSV export/import on french chars.
Guillaume FinanceParticipantI’ll try to find an Excel macro to convert the HTML after the import, and before the export to EA.
Guillaume FinanceParticipantHi,
One of my clients is having the same issue. We tried uninstalling/reinstalling eaDocX without any luck.
He’s using version 3.9.5.7 although we’re planning at some point to move to v4.EAInspector doesn’t find any error.
How did you manage to resolve your issue?
Guillaume FinanceParticipantHi,
I posted some suggestions as well on eaXL and I was wondering when the next release with eaXL improvements & fixes will be released. Thanks
GuillaumeGuillaume FinanceParticipantHi,
Can you let me know if the above will be taken into account in eaDocX 4?
Guillaume FinanceParticipantIt would be interesting to support also connectors if that’s feasible, whilst adding the attributes support.
Is this feature purely intended to publish/export information from EA, or does it let us import things back based on the associated query?Guillaume FinanceParticipantHi,
This feature looks interesting however I can’t get it to work (eaXL > new worksbook > Searches).
First the query requires “t_object.ea_guid AS CLASSGUID” in the Select statement.I tried your query but it doesn’t work?
I ran a test with the following and I only get the class name.
select t_object.ea_guid AS CLASSGUID, t_object.name AS Entity, t_attribute.name AS Attribute from t_object, t_attribute where t_object.Stereotype = ‘test’ and t_object.Object_ID = t_attribute.Object_ID order by t_object.Name
I don’t know what I’m missing here.
Guillaume FinanceParticipantHi,
The process requiring the above enhancements still apply. Any chance or lead time before this topic could be looked at for a future eaDocX release?
Thanks
Guillaume FinanceParticipantHi,
I think it would make sense in the columns tab to export the tag value and/or memo so eaDocX will know what to write when import the info back.
Furthermore I have tags where I write both the value and the memo (which is still available for non memo tags).
Could it be planned for a future release?Guillaume FinanceParticipantIn addition to the above, if I try to use a template to export all attributes with selected tagged value, it doesn’t work as they’re not recognised (the Columns tab has no TV displayed).
Intead the Excel is replaced with the default selection so I have no way to export all classes attributes with my tagged values. The best I can get currently is to export all the attributes from a single class.Guillaume FinanceParticipantHi,
Unfortunately the link to Microsoft site for the Script Control has been taken off. I’m not sure whether installing it had fixed my issue or not before I installed eaDocX again.
Try to uninstall and reinstall eaDocX.
If you’re interested I still have Microsoft Script Control installation file on my PC (sct10en.exe as explained on Microsoft site).
Scripting is working well on my PC even via new version upgrades.

Guillaume FinanceParticipantI hadn’t notice the up/down arrows on the top of the Columns tab to change the order.
So this feature is already there. -
