  • in reply to: Transferring Standard Licenses? #6831

    Hi Ken.

You can download the eaDocX code file then scan it, define as ‘approved’ etc. as you have described.
However you would need multiple keys to enable the code for each team member, as Standard licences are single user. These are all delivered in a single email when you buy…

Multiple people can’t use the same standard key, so if you want one key that several people can all use then maybe a floating licence would be better.
There’s more information about the different licence types in this FAQ article ”Standard or Floating licence?”

    Hope this helps.

    Hi Ken
Yes, you can transfer the licence key to another person.

However you’ll need to send a support email through to notify us who the new user is (their username/email address on eaDocX.com) and the licence key you are transferring.

We will amend the database to make sure they are recognised as the customer instead of you.
That is needed as the full key won’t work with the trial version of eaDocX, and only customers can download the full customer version of code from customer downloads.

    Hi Doug,

Clicking the details button next to a download file just gives you the details of the file to be downloaded (file type, size, date published) and we can’t add anything else there, so the blog link that Ian suggests is the best solution we have at present.

    Hello Sudhakar

We offer 2 licence editions, Professional and Corporate. Both come as either standard or floating.

To decide which of Professional and Corporate editions is best for you I suggest you check out the FAQ article or compare the features here

Standard licences are fixed – for use by a single user on a single machine.
Floating licences are for several users to share – they will need access to a shared server. There is a guide to help you decide which type will work best for you in this FAQ article. You can also check out the Floating licence user guide for more information.

Once you’ve chosen, then just select the quantity and number of years support that you need…

in reply to: How do I get the latest upgrade? #6611

    Hi

If you can’t see the “Customer Downloads” sub menu when you are logged in, it means that the website doesn’t know that you are a real customer! There’s an FAQ article ”I’m a customer. Where’s my eaDocX code download?” that explains how to fix that.

Please take a look and follow the instructions there.

(NB it doesn’t matter what name you see when you start eaDocX and check the licence information user details. That name is set as the name of the person who bought the key but is independent of your customer status for getting hold of updates/support etc. The ‘Master’ information for customer status is on your account in the website backend systems.)

    Thanks
    Jackie

    Sudhakar,

By default, eaDocX does not display the children of Elements, just the children of Packages.

To change whether children of Elements will display, open eaXL and select Columns. There is an ‘Output Child Elements’ check box at the bottom of the viewing window. Change this to the setting you want, then re-export.

Excel will use the standard nesting notation, at the left-hand-side of the the spreadsheet, for child elements.

    Hello Sudhakar,

The latest version of the tool available for purchase is the same as that which you can download for trial.

Regarding the features unique to eaDocX: We have developed eaDocX to make document creation simple (i.e. so you don’t need to program in SQL, script or XML to produce the documents you want).
Because we focus on just integrating with Microsoft products, instead of rtf/csv files as the in-built EA document generator does, we can use the features of Word and Excel to make our documents look better and include features that EA alone can never do.

There are lots of differences, but the best way to explain them is to talk direct to us. Why don’t you book a time slot via our January support offer and we can answer your questions more fully? Here’s the link …

Looking forward to speaking to you soon.

    Hi 0p3t1,

    Thanks for your feedback.

We’re not sure what you mean by collaboration and enterprise features – we weren’t aware that eaDocX had any of those! … or are you thinking of some you want us to implement?

    Hi eeo,

Please can you send your XMI file or an extract of it, and if possible a copy of your problematic document, to support@eadocx.com so we can produce the problem ourselves in order to resolve it?

    Thanks

in reply to: Allocation of multiple Licence Keys #6022

    Fixed link!!!
    Thanks for letting me know.

in reply to: Blank Space and Tabs in Description Fields #5936

Sorry about that. The fix didn’t behave exactly as expected.

We have removed v2.2.1.04 from the download page and re-published v2.2.1.3.

We will keep working on it and update this string as soon as a new version is available.
