Trial guide #2 – Different Document Structures
Choosing the right document structure
The simplest is where the EA Structure is used for the document structure (this is what Quick Document uses). But if this was the only way, then you’d have to change the structure of your model to create a document with a different structure. Instead, with eaDocX you can also:
- Use relationships to determine the structure.
- Use diagram contents
- Add an Element Report or a Matrix Report
- Add a section based on a Model View Favorites folder.
- Generate cross reference sections
Previewing your Document Structure
A single document can contain many sections – each one based on one of these content types. The eaDocX Preview panel gives a summary of what is in each section – and from there you can edit the profile which controls how the elements and relationships print in each case.
