Getting Started with aiExpert
1. Use the built-in eaTeamWorks ChatGPT account (free trial)
-
Every user automatically receives 50 free aiExpert requests through the eaTeamWorks ChatGPT account.
-
This lets you try out the feedback without needing to set up anything else.
-
Once your 50 requests are used, you can add your own OpenAI or Gemini account (see below)
2. Set up your own AI account
To use aiExpert regularly, you’ll need an account with either OpenAI or Google Gemini. Both offer pay-as-you-go pricing and starter free credits.
OpenAI (ChatGPT / GPT models)
-
Create an account at: https://platform.openai.com
-
After signing in, generate an API key under: https://platform.openai.com/api-keys
-
Copy this key into the aiExpert settings panel inside Model Expert.
Google Gemini
-
Create an account at: https://ai.google.dev
-
Details for getting credentials: https://ai.google.dev/gemini-api/docs/quickstart
-
Gemini requires a Client ID and Client Secret, which you can generate in your Google Cloud Console. Enter these in the aiExpert settings panel.
3. Switching between accounts
In aiExpert settings you can choose:
-
eaTeamWorks trial account (default, with 50 free requests), or
-
Your own OpenAI key, or
-
Your own Gemini credentials.
This makes it easy to start quickly, then switch to your own account when you’re ready for ongoing use.
Tip: If you are new to AI services, start with the 50 free requests via eaTeamWorks. Once you’re comfortable, add your own account for full access.
